Waste to Power Plant – We provide ongoing capital allowances advice for the construction of a waste to power plant, total cost circa £250m. We worked with the client to have the combined heat and power plant pre registered for enhanced capital allowances with the Department of Energy and Climate Change. This enables them to claim all the expenditure for the plant in the first year instead of taking over 80 years to claim the allowances if they had not qualified for enhanced capital allowances.
Onshore Wind Farm – We recently provided capital allowances advice for an onshore wind farm. We were able to claim 96% of the £10m total expenditure as capital allowances for our client.
